Where cars get locked around Dénia
The port
Baleària sails from Dénia to Ibiza, Formentera and Palma. Luggage out, keys left on the seat, doors locked: it happens in the queue as much as in the car park.
The beaches
Les Marines has more than three kilometres of sand to the north, and the coves of Les Rotes lie to the south. Keys go in a bag, the bag goes in the boot.
The Montgó
The Natural Park, 753 metres at its top, draws walkers all year. Back at the car after a long route is a common time to find the key on the dashboard.

Will opening the car leave a mark?
The methods used are designed for opening without damage to the door, the seals or the paintwork. If a particular car carries a risk, you are told before anything is touched.
It is a hire car. Can you still open it?
Yes, with the rental agreement in your name. It is worth ringing the rental company as well: some prefer to send their own assistance, and their contract may say so.
I have not locked the key in. I have lost it altogether.
Then opening the door will not get you driving, and this business cannot help with what you need next, because it does not supply or program car keys. Your dealer or the roadside assistance on your insurance is the right call.
What paperwork do you need to see?
Something that links you to the car: the registration document, the insurance, or a rental agreement, with an ID. If the papers are inside the car, they are checked as soon as the door is open, before anything else happens.
We are parked at the port and the boat leaves soon.
Say so on the phone, with the time of the sailing. You are told straight away whether it can be done in time, rather than being left to hope.
